EMILY's List
What's a GOP insider to do? Ask Karl Rove for help.

Mastermind of the Bush agenda? Same guy who orchestrated the Bush campaign's 537-vote win in 2000?
Well, Karl Rove is certainly keeping busy in his post-White House days. Rove is back on tour now, helping far-right candidates raise campaign cash -- including going to bat for the stalwart GOP'er who's running for Missouri's open Senate seat. Cong. Roy Blunt, who's running against EMILY's List candidate Robin Carnahan, is happily taking Rove across the state -- a breakfast this morning in St. Charles and a luncheon in Springfield -- counting on Rove's right-wing star power to fill his war chest.
According to this post from the Riverfront Times in St. Louis, "For $2,400 attendees got the privilege of sitting near Rove. For a mere $1,000 they could get their picture taken with George W. Bush's top political aide."
As a spokesperson for the Missouri Democratic Party told Politico, "Rove’s tight relationship with Blunt helped the congressman 'cultivate relationships with lobbyists and corporate special interests that he has voted to bail out time and time again.'"
Blunt's obviously counting on major financial support from Rove's trip -- and here's the scary thing: he'll get it.
That's why Robin needs us more than ever to help her keep up her momentum and put this seat in Democratic hands. Robin has proven she's a fighter who'll bring accountability and change to Washington.
