Tom Ganley bravely embraces ignorance

One thing is for certain: in his bid for Congress, Republican candidate Tom Ganley is willing to spend everything - and say anything - in a desperate attempt to unseat Cong. Betty Sutton. He has loaned his campaign $6.5 million as of the end of June, and now he's resorting to embarrassingly ignorant comments to get attention. When asked about President Obama by Roll Call yesterday, Ganley replied, "I don't have a position on whether he's a Muslim."

Hate to break the news to Ganley, but it actually isn't possible to have a position on a fact - for example, not taking a position on whether gravity exists. And the fact is, President Obama has been clear about what his religion is from the beginning. It's just that simple. A large and difficult part of being a leader is deciding and defending your positions - but Tom, this one is a no-brainer! A freebie, even.

We'll lead by example and show Tom Ganley something you CAN take a position on: we're supporting Cong. Betty Sutton for Ohio's 13th district. Now, that wasn't so hard, was it?
