EMILY's List
Thank you, Rosa DeLauro

We're glad to see that our women in Congress know when to stand up and say that enough is enough.
This week, Cong. Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) called out Joe Lieberman on his attempts to stall health care reform, saying:
"No individual should hold health care hostage, including Joe Lieberman, and I'll say it flat out, I think he ought to be recalled. ... We don't have the luxury to hold up a bill that could make a difference in people's lives. This is what we were sent here to do."
Rosa's been leading the charge her whole career -- while serving as the first executive director of EMILY's List and as a member of Congress.
As Ellen Malcolm said,
"We all understand the importance of passing a comprehensive health care reform bill, and when I see women like Rosa bravely fighting for the things that truly matter -- including their strong leadership against the Stupak/Pitts amendment -- I realize why it's so important for us to continue our work. "
You can join with us send Rosa your own note of thanks here.
