Tea Party Express

The Tea Party Express has posted their list of top targets for 2010, and we weren't surprised to see a number of our women on it.

Senator Barbara Boxer joins Congresswoman Betsy Markey (CO-04) and Dina Titus (NV-03) on the list, which aims at top-ranking Democrats and Democrats elected from moderate or right-leaning districts. According to Tea Party organizer Mark Williams, the group has been "laying the groundwork for a victory" for their candidates -- but we've been doing the same for our women, and we're going to match the right-wing's passion with our own.

Elected in the Year of the Woman in 1992, Barbara has been a fierce advocate for progressive change in the Senate. Betsy and Dina are both freshmen members we helped elect last cycle -- and after taking a tough stand and voting for health care, the Tea Party is eager to unseat them and put their seats in the GOP's column.

We can't afford to lose any of these women in Congress, so we're taking action now to make sure they have the support they'll need to win this November.
