Waiting for a district, but already "On the List"

When former Cong. Dina Titus was defeated after just one term in the Tea Party sweep of 2010, disappointed constituents and supporters lost an already-accomplished advocate for homeowners and consumers, for seniors, women, and the environment. But with the creation of an additional House seat in Nevada due to reapportionment, Dina hopes to return to Congress and continue fighting for families who “are still hurting and need someone who will do what’s right for them.”

The anti-choice Susan B. Anthony List is pumping $1 million – and a bunch of falsehoods – into this year’s election. Their mailer, going out to 2 million voters across the country, tries to connect President Obama and Speaker Pelosi with taxpayer-funded abortions in order to dissuade votes for Democrats.

With just 27 short days until voters head to the polls, many of our candidates' races will be won on the ground -- some by a few hundred votes. Our women are hard at work reaching undecided voters, rallying their supporters, and ensuring that their message is being heard loud and clear.

NV CD-3 Republican Candidate Joe Heck, EMILY's List's Dina Titus' challenger, has received the endorsement of "Birther" movement leader Orly Taitz. The woman who has spent Barack Obama's presidency thus far challenging his citizenship is now also blessing far-right candidates with her support (though she has disregarded the importance of their actual names when announcing her endorsement).
