Congratulations to Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake for her victory last night. After serving as Mayor for the last 20 months, Baltimore voters know what we’ve known all along: Having a qualified and compassionate leader makes a difference. Baltimore faces many challenges including a high crime rate, the same economic problems most American cities are facing, and let’s not forget hurricane Irene. With a full term Mayor Rawlings-Blake can begin to work through these issues and more.
