EMILY's List
Representing you – or Wall Street?

Cong. Mary Jo Kilroy has come out swinging during her first term representing Ohio’s fifteenth district: she was one of only two freshmen named to the conference committee on Wall Street reform, and she has tirelessly fought for essential consumer protections needed by her constituents, so many of whom have suffered during the economic downturn.
The GOP has their sight set on Kilroy’s seat, and her opponent is none other than a former bank lobbyist, Steve Stivers. While Mary Jo was busy helping pass groundbreaking Financial Reform legislation, Stivers was reaching out to his pals on Wall Street and lined his pockets. On the same day that Wall Street reform passed the Senate, Stivers reported raising $116,175 from the financial industry and lobbyists.
If elected, we’re sure Stivers will work hard – for the bankers, that is. Mary Jo will keep up the good fight for what’s in the best interests of her constituents and not those on Wall Street. Click here to make a contribution to Mary Jo and show Stivers and his big bank cronies that the people of Ohio come first.
