Recruiting the ‘Best and the Brightest.’

We were pleased to see Cosmopolitan Editor-In-Chief and friend to EMILY’s List Joanna Coles, along with pro-choice ally and former Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell on Morning Joe today singing our praises!
Both acknowledged the hard work that EMILY’s List has been doing to get what Ed called “the best and the brightest” women elected to office. “They’re a superb organization,” Joanna said. And of course, both agreed that EMILY’s List President Stephanie Schriock is simply “phenomenal.”
We think so too, and these words of encouragement have us fired up for 2014!
The EMILY’s List clip starts at 7:40, but the whole interview with Joanna about women in the workplace is fantastic.

Ed: You know it’s interesting politics has always tended to be a little bit more fluid than business. And not only do we have more of women getting elected which is a great thing. But we have women’s groups that are focusing on electing women. Like you’ve had Stephanie Schriock on.
Joanna Coles: Right, from EMILY’s List. She’s phenomenal.
Ed: She’s done a phenomenal job. She’s phenomenal and she’s getting the best and the brightest which we didn’t used to get. They’re recruiting the best and the brightest women to now run for office.
Joanna Coles: But they’re a very targeted and very focused on getting them out there and getting them elected. They’re a superb organization.
