Rachel Maddow:

What's the most important thing in the country right now? If you ask We the People? . . . The top priority of the nation: jobs. Jobs creation and economic growth, obviously. That is far and away the most important thing listed by Americans in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll released tonight. And its essentially the same result in every poll. Jobs - obviously. . .

The one branch of government controlled by the Republican Party right now is of course the House of Representatives. You want to know what is on their agenda right now? "Other" that is what's on their agenda right now. The Republicans in the Senate filibustered President Obama's jobs bill last night. It did get a majority vote but Republicans used their minority powers to block it even though a majority voted for it. In the House they said they wouldn't even put the jobs bill up for a vote. They say that apparently there was no time to do that.

Why don't House Republicans have the time to work on jobs? Why don't they have time to even debate the jobs bill? . . .Thursday's calendar is full already... What's Thursday's calendar full with? Because Thursday is Abortion Day in the Republican controlled House of Representatives.
