Poll shows growing Sewell lead in AL-07

Since pulling in the most votes in her June 1 primary, Terri Sewell (AL-07) has been hard at work preparing for the July 13 run-off. And today, Terri's campaign received some pretty remarkable news proving that all that work is paying off.
A survey conducted by Anzalone Liszt Research showed that Terri's got a growing lead over her run-off opponent, Sheila Smoot. Terri came in 8 points ahead of Smoot in the primary race, but she's now polling 53-33 percent over Smoot. A big part of that movement, according to the survey results, comes from Terri's outreach to voters who backed the primary's third-place finisher, state Rep. Earl Hilliard, Jr.
The survey was conducted June 13-16 and had a 4.9-point margin of error.
We're thrilled about this latest news from Terri's campaign, but we know it's critical that Terri continue getting her message out to voters. That's why we're standing with her through the finish line.
