NPR features Pelosi's leadership, skill

NPR did a great feature on the leadership of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi today, highlighting the skill with which she helped ensure passage of landmark health care legislation last week.
Noting that Speaker Pelosi has received "great praise and admiration from friends and opponents alike," the piece touches on why the Speaker is so effective and how she handles the rigorous work. Here's a quote from Speaker Pelosi:
"I knew I came here to vote for health care for all Americans. That has been a pillar of who I am and who we are as Democrats, but I didn't think I would be leading the way as Speaker of the House, that's for sure."

Of course, praise isn't the only thing Speaker Pelosi has been receiving since health care reform passed. The GOP has been on the attack, even launching a "Fire Pelosi" campaign -- but we're fighting back. Join us at www.standwithnancy.com!
