Northwest Progressive: Suzan Delbene "already walked her talk"

Over the weekend, The Redmond Reporter published a column from Andrew Villeneuve, founder and executive director of the Northwest Progressive Institute. The column hits home why we have supported Suzan Delbene in her race to unseat GOP Cong. Dave Reichert since the beginning. "She may be new to politics, but she has a deep understanding of the challenges facing entrepreneurs and working families, because she’s had to deal with economic hardship in her own life," writes Velleuve.

Meanwhile, Reichert has been nothing but talk -- building a do-nothing record during his three terms in Congress. As Villeneuve points out, Reichert “seems to be counting on name familiarity and personal likability to carry him to victory, he shouldn’t be surprised if voters decide they’d rather send someone to Congress whose work ethic matches her rhetoric.”

Suzan worked hard to put herself through school and became a successful businessperson who values good ideas and understands how innovations lead to a brighter tomorrow. She's running against a Republican whose "biggest failing has been saying 'no' and never providing alternatives," said Suzan. Reichert voted against the stimulus, health insurance reform, authorizing the repeal of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' and the Lilly Ledbetter Equal Pay Act.

Keep on walking, Suzan! Each step is one more closer to you being our next pro-choice Democratic woman in Congress.
