McLane Kuster speaks out in fight to protect reproductive rights

The Stupak/Pitts Amendment, passed with the House's health care bill last week, has caused a firestorm among pro-choice organizations and leaders. In New Hampshire, EMILY's List candidate Ann McLane Kuster, a long-time advocate for women's reproductive rights, has been at the forefront of the call for continued protection of women's rights.
McLane Kuster sent an email to supporters before the amendment passed, warning them of the dangerous potential outcome and the need for action:
"I believe a woman and her medical care provider should be making decisions about her health care, not the politicians in Washington.
We can't let the anti-choice movement use abortion to derail health care reform and we can't let them use health care reform to restrict a woman's right to choose."
We couldn't have said it better ourselves. All of the EMILY's List women in the House voted against the Stupak/Pitts Amendment, and we can't wait to add Ann's voice to theirs to help defend women's rights.
