We just love watching our women at work.
Yesterday, four EMILY's List alums -- Senators Amy Klobuchar, Barbara Mikulski, Kay Hagan, and Jeanne Shaheen -- held a press conference focused on impact of health care reform on women. Of course, we already knew that women were central to the health care debate -- and that the women we've helped elect are playing a crucial role in ensuring reform efforts address women's concerns.

Sen. Debbie Stabenow (MI) is on a roll.
Time and time again, Stabenow has served as the perfect example of why we need more women in office. Just last week, Stabenow emphasized the importance of maternity care during an exchange with GOP Sen. Jon Kyl (AZ). And today, Stabenow once again served as the voice of reason during a Senate Finance Committee hearing.

Recently endorsed Senate candidate Cheryle Robinson Jackson (IL) was in DC last week, and we were fortunate enough to catch her when she stopped by the office. I wanted to share a few quick photos from her visit and say what an incredible senator she's going to make.

We didn't think GOP Sen. Jon Kyl's recent comment about maternity care showed much compassion -- and apparently, EMILY's List members agreed. We received thousands of signatures on our petition last week, telling Sen. Kyl exactly how crucial it is that maternity care be required coverage for insurers.

Don't miss the message EMILY's List President Ellen Malcolm just sent out to members (posted below!).
I have to say -- after all the town hall disruptions and ridiculous partisan politics, this really takes the cake -- especially since this latest offense took place in the halls of Congress. Good thing Sen. Debbie Stabenow (MI) was there to speak up for women's medical care!
Don't forget to sign our petition!

It’s always nice to brag about our candidates, and honestly, it’s easy to do when they’re making change in their communities.

Who doesn't love a reunion? Good food, good friends, good...fundraisers?

They call Missouri the "Show-Me State" for a reason. We knew the battle for the Senate between two major political names would be a tough one in this truly purple state, and the voters of Missouri are showing us exactly how challenging it's going to be.

We have been waiting for the Senate race to replace retiring Missouri Sen Kit Bond to start heating up. It looks like EMILY's List candidate Robin Carnahan and her GOP opponent Rep. Roy Blunt are finally delivering.

Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan spent last Saturday like she spends most weekends campaigning for Missouri's open Senate seat: running a hard race, fund-raising, and chatting with constituents.
