EMILY's List lets 4 more GOP freshmen know: You're On Notice!

Today EMILY’s List announced the latest installment of elected officials we are putting On Notice. These members of Congress have little interest in helping working families and instead prefer to push their personal right-wing agenda against women.

Cong. Steve King, IA-04

King is so anti-choice he makes many of his colleagues look mainstream. His extremist voting record includes attempts to defund Planned Parenthood, and he co-sponsored the legislation redefining rape. He went so far as to say on the floor of Congress that “Planned Parenthood is invested in promiscuity,” and suggested that access to birth control will result in a "dying civilization." But this Tea Party Caucus member doesn’t stop there; he’s been a great friend to Michele Bachmann in Iowa leading up to the caucus.

Cong. Daniel Webster, FL-13

If rape and incest aren’t bad enough, Rep. Webster believes if a woman becomes pregnant as a result of being violated that she should be forced to carry the child to term. Webster has supported laws restricting women's access to health care that were so radical a court found them unconstitutional and a Republican governor vetoed them. Now - in a state with a large senior population, Webster's advocacy to end Medicare as we know it, has left his constituents wondering who he really serves - them or the Tea Party.

Cong. Steve Chabot OH-01
