The last few days at Netroots Nation 2010 in Las Vegas have been incredible. This conference teems with passion, energy, and ideas -- and we want to give you a slice of what we've experienced.

Conversation is constant here. We got to speak with attendees while at our EMILY's List booth at the exhibition all, meeting long-time supporters and sharing our mission with folks new to what we do -- and handed out some pretty cute notepads. At panel discussions and roundtable talks, we heard hopes, frustrations, and desire for more progressive action.

Several of our candidates joined us at Netroots, and they got right into the thick of it -- and were in top form. Elaine Marshall, running for Senate in North Carolina, spoke with bloggers at a lively roundtable, sharing her personal stories and laying out her path to victory. Roxanne Conlin reminded the Netroots to "pull the plug" on Sen. Grassley's right-wing policies and vote for "Grandma" instead.

Ann McLane Kuster, House candidate from New Hampshire, talked about her dedication to women's rights at the Netroots candidate reception. The audience just loved Texas lt. governor candidate Linda Chavez-Thompson's fighting spirit and sharp cracks. And Tarryl Clark helped wrap up the conference with a keynote address that showed the crowd that she is fired up and ready to beat Michele Bachmann.

Of course, we could not have been more pleased for our own EMILY's List president Stephanie Schriock to introduce the star of the closing ceremonies, Senator Al Franken. Stephanie took the moment to give a powerful reminder of how far we have to go to have a truly representative democracy, when women are still a small percentage of elected officials at all levels of our government. After Stephanie's introduction, Senator Franken gave us some comic relief, a lot of issues to mull over, and some exciting shout-outs to EMILY's List candidates, including Julie Lassa, Robin Carnahan, and Tarryl Clark.

It's been a hectic week, but we're heading back to our DC office more energized than ever to fight for our progressive women candidates. Thanks, Netroots! Can't wait to come back next year to Minneapolis.
