Debbie Wasserman Schultz: GOP's Anti-Woman, Anti-Child Agenda

Rep. Wasserman Schultz reminded me that it's been 71 days since John Boehner was sworn in as Speaker. In his time wielding the gavel, we've seen Boehner lead the House Republican Caucus on a hard-right turn past job and economic stimulation (as they had promised voters), instead heading straight towards a little place we know as Boehner's America –- a land where women's access to health is limited and their reproductive freedoms are all but erased.

It doesn't have to be that way. There's a viable antidote to Boehner's America, and it's the women that this community so strongly supports: women like Wasserman Schultz. Earlier this week, several of the EMILY's List alums headed to the House floor to shed light on their colleagues' despicable attempts to roll back women's rights and crusade against women's health that would be so detrimental to American families.
