Congressional Women's Softball: Let's play ball!

When it comes to a good cause, the Congressional Women's Caucus has one thing to say: play ball!

The annual game benefits the Young Survival Coalition, a breast cancer charity. This year, the Women Members took on the ladies of the DC press corps, with a special appearance by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who threw out the first pitch.

The game certainly had its all-stars. On the Member team, Cong. Laura Richardson batted in two runs early on and Cong. Debbie Wasserman Schultz hit a line-drive to bring in Cong. Linda Sanchez for the winning run. And special props to our friend Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand for her incredible work on the mound keeping the press team to just 3 runs.
