Coakley off and running in Senate race

Obviously, we're excited about newly endorsed candidate Martha Coakley's run for the U.S. Senate -- and we're definitely not the only ones.
There's a great piece in the Boston Globe today about an event Coakley held last night in Medford, MA. The headline said Coakley rallied the crowd, and after seeing her enthusiasm while she was in the office yesterday, that comes as no surprise. Not only does Coakley understand the key issues facing American families today, but she also has a record of making change happen.
Here's a clip:
...[S]tate Attorney General Martha Coakley told more than 100 Democratic officials and activists last night that her top priorities in Washington would be stabilizing the economy, expanding health care access, and investing in alternative energy.
“I believe government should work well, and it should work for everybody,’’ Coakley said to sustained applause at a meeting of the Medford Democratic Ward and City Committee at City Hall.
Coakley is off and running in this open seat race -- and with less than 90 days until voters go to the polls, it's sure to be a sprint to the finish line.
