Carol Shea-Porter works hard to protect veterans

She may be just off the plane from her trip to Afghanistan, but for Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01), working for the rights and well-being of veterans never stops.

Thanks to her hard work, the cost of health care and prescription drugs will not go up next year for those who have served our country. Supporting our troops is not a new passion for Carol, who serves on the Armed Services Committee. During her freshman term alone she fought three increases when they were brought up in 2008 under President Bush.

"Our military personnel, retirees, and their families have made enormous sacrifices on behalf of our country, and our country must honor our commitment to them," said Carol "Our military families rely on TRICARE and they should not have to worry about cost increases during these difficult economic times. My amendments will ensure that TRICARE costs do not increase next year."

Keep up the good work Carol!
