Carol Shea-Porter fights for a brighter future
By Emily on 06/10/2010 @ 04:35 PM
Just came across a nice story about Carol Shea-Porter (NH-01), announcing new funding for the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program. EUDL will receive $356,400 to support its mission of curbing the selling of alcohol to minors.
Carol also recently announced a major AmeriCorps grant of $579,601 for a City Year New Hampshire program that identifies and helps students at risk of dropping out of school.
Carol's long been an advocate for New Hampshire youth and families -- and her passion for helping others comes as no surprise. Growing up, Carol's family provided temporary housing to troubled youth, and Carol has maintained that commitment throughout her time in Congress.
