2. How did you end up working at EMILY’s List?
Pure luck -- I admired EMILY's List work for a long time and, like most young political nerds, I loved the occasional West Wing references. I applied for a job with the internet team and was thrilled when I got the opportunity to come on board.
3. What is your most memorable moment in politics?
I was really fortunate to have a Democratic woman state representative from my home district growing up. Honestly, I didn't realize that was an uncommon thing for districts in the middle of Missouri. I have a very vivid memory of my dad explaining that women in politics had more challenges than men and that we were really lucky to have an outstanding woman representative. It made a lasting impression.
