Bachmann meets… reality?
By Hilary Nachem on 07/16/2010 @ 04:30 PM
It seems that Michele Bachmann has finally grasped reality on one crucial point:
“Pelosi and the Democrats have targeted me specifically to silence my voice in repealing Obamacare and rolling back the spending and tax increases about to come our way. I can’t wait to defeat their bad agenda.” - Michele Bachmann, 07/15/10
Michele Bachmann wrote an opinion piece in Politico entitled, "Thank you, Sarah Palin," in which she details just how much she appreciates the fundraising efforts Palin has undergone to help her keep her seat this November. I agree with Michele that Palin's "effect on all aspects of politics shouldn’t be undersold" and know exactly what she means when she writes, "my race wasn’t the only race that Palin worked hard to raise money for."
As we've seen in recent months, Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann have been jet-setting around the country to raise money for candidates that will help push their far-right agenda. We've seen Palin propping up a number of men and women up against our candidates. In fact, Bachmann just went on Glenn Beck to call out EMILY's List, along with Speaker Pelosi and other "radical" (her words, naturally) groups, for making her our "number one piñata."
Well, Michele, you're right: we will fight back against your outrageous rhetoric. While you're busy forming a House ‘Tea Party Caucus' to advance your extreme positions, your opponent Tarryl Clark is looking out for the interests of working Minnesotans.
Instead of bouncing around cable shows, Tarryl works hard in the state Senate for the people of Minnesota, fighting for good jobs and access to health care for her constituents. And she's running a strong campaign -- but she'll need our help to counter Bachmann's national network of right-wing contributors.
This election cycle EMILY's List candidates are up against Republican men and women who have shown themselves to be obstructionists, stand-ins for big oil, and down-right dirty players. Chief among that list? Click here to support Tarryl in her race to unseat Bachmann and her bad agenda.
