Alabamians on the List

Another quick note about last night's event with Terri...
It's something we say a lot around EMILY's List, but I haven't really seen it in action until now: The EMILY's List community really is everywhere.
As I snapped photos and listened to Terri speak with supporters, Terri frequently mentioned that I was a visiting staffer from EMILY's List. You'd be amazed how often the response was, "Really? Wonderful!" or "I'm a long-time supporter" or even one "I keep seeing that my Facebook friends have become fans of EMILY's List online." (That's really true -- I couldn't make that up. And here's the obvious pitch: You, too, can become an EMILY's List fan on Facebook if you haven't already! Click here to get started.)
I got the chance to speak with someone who had been through an EMILY's List training, someone who has been a member for years, and someone who recently heard of us for the first time. And, I have to tell you, it was pretty incredible to see the EMILY's List network in action at a local Democratic gathering. Plus, it was great to hear people say how important our support is to this campaign in particular -- including Terri!
There's no doubt Democratic activists know that when you, the members of EMILY's List's community get together, you make a remarkable difference. Based on what I heard last night, that couldn't be truer here in Alabama and in Terri's race.
