Don’t Let Anti-Choice Extremists Defund Planned Parenthood
The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation announced that it is halting all funding for Planned Parenthood. This money was vital for Planned Parenthood and women across the country –it allowed the organization to provide nearly 170,000 clinical breast exams and referrals for more than 6,400 mammograms over the past five years.
The worst part? This is a political game -- Susan G. Komen was bullied by anti-choice extremists in the House and Senate. Turning cancer screenings into a political issue is just another part of the Republican’s War Against Women – and we cannot let this stand.
